对于理论性的问题和概念能够非常好地运用和理解;令人信服且切题的分析;有深度的解析，精准的思路和证据支撑。
Criterion 3
An excellent, well-structured and lucid presentation; well-developed insight and capacity for individual thought; imagination in approach and application.
结构合理解释清晰易懂;有详细的个人见解;在思路方法上有创新。
这要求学习者能在逻辑上自洽，在教授讲解的基础上延伸出个人的辩证思考。
Criterion 4
Excellent evidence of extensive and in-depth reading, frequently drawn upon to support and illustrate understanding.
拥有广泛且深入的阅读，经常引用文献以支持文章的论点和展开内容。
这要求学习者有充分的阅读基础和理解能力。
而在实际完成assignments的过程中，最关键的是大量阅读。这不仅包括完成课前阅读材料/任务，也包括课后主动的去补充阅读相关的文章。在上课的过程中，最关键的是和教授的互动。互动能让你更不容易分心，并且对复杂概念的理解更深入。当你的理解足够准确，就能把课堂的内容融入到essay/assignment里，甚至有自己的critical thinking，这样你也就离高分作业和distinction不远了。当然对于教授给出的作业评价也要好好分析，避免下次作业中重复一些已经提到的问题。
想要做到以上标准，除了制定好计划并且有较强的执行力，还需要大家有合格的听/读能力，这也是大学为什么要求申请者有合格的语言成绩。良好的阅读能力能帮助你在短时间内搜索和你研究的论题相关的资料，阅读较多的文献，并有逻辑的将他们呈现在你的作业中作为support，这些刚好对应托福阅读中的定位、理解、逻辑部分。理解教授讲解的内容和有效的课堂互动，也依赖于你的听力能力、口语表述能力，只有具备了这些，才能做到清晰且有条理地回答问题。 |
