Residents frequently use public transportation to commute. Some people say that the authorities should invest money in accelerating public transport system, while others believe that improvement in other areas is an absolute necessity. In my opinion, increasing the speed at which public transportation operates is not the most pressing issue. Instead, other concerns, such as the cost of living and environmental protection, merit more consideration.
On the one side, it is indisputable that commute time is one of the most crucial criteria when selecting modes of transportation. People routinely lose hours each year to mundane activities like waiting for the bus and commuting. In an effort to save as much time as possible, city residents typically own their own vehicles for transport. Once the pace of public transportation is increased, it will be more appealing for people to take public transit, which adheres to a schedule and reduces their commute time. At the same time, when a greater number of private automobile owners switch to public transportation, it will greatly alleviate traffic congestion and exhaust pollution, which will be beneficial to the environment.
Alternatively, daily cost reduction and environmental preservation should also be considered. Some individuals can no longer afford or have access to essential necessities due to currency inflation. Some underprivileged families find it hard to obtain food and clothing, let alone a house. In the interim, the consequences of environmental degradation have grown further obvious. In conjunction with the greenhouse effect and sea level rise, global warming has posed a grave threat to the human race. Therefore, government involvement is necessary to resolve the problem and safeguard the populace from potential harm. Other regulations and upgrades will only be of greater benefit to individuals if their most fundamental safety demands are addressed first.
In conclusion, despite the fact that increasing the frequency of public transportation is favourable for some commuters, government resources should be allocated to more critical priorities in order to ensure a sustainable world for all individuals.
