看的出来，四个科目的组成章节都是一样的，都是：Number and Algebra, Functions, Geometry and Trigonometry, Statistics and Probability, Calculus五个章节，只在详细的课时分配上，出现了明显的不同。
除此之外 IB数学 SL和HL的区别就是课程深度不同，学习时长不同，SL需学满150小时，HL则需要学满240小时！
首先AA和AI学习的侧重点有所不同：
AA：
IB数学AA侧重于数学的基础知识理论，特别是微积分这一部分。且也注重数学分析和方法研究，数学运算会比较多。
建议参加数学竞赛的学生可选择AA学习，因为其与竞赛考察的内容关联性较强。
AI：
IB数学AI注重运用数学工具解决实际问题，还注重计算机科学和应用数学，难度相对较低。尤其是统计和与计算机相关的图论部分。要求学生具备良好的英语阅读和写作能力。
AA/AI课程选课适合学生建议：
数学AA SL课程：适用于数学能力中等且打算在高中毕业后学习经济学或科学的学生
数学AA HL课程：适用于数学能力强并打算在高中毕业后攻读数学或工程学等专业的学生
数学AI SL/HL课程：适用于数学能力不强且不打算在高中毕业后学习以数学为学科基础专业的学生
